This is a great technique because it lets you determine the subject or main object for your photo and then focus your camera on that object. You also give yourself time to determine placement of your main object in your photo ~ center or off center. This will also help eliminate cut off heads and blurry photos!

Getting in close to your subject give more meaning to your photos. It allows you to see things up close and in more detail. Do not be afraid to get in close, to use your camera's zoom to get in close, or to fill your frame with your subject. You will get some excellent photos using this tip!

Mix things up! You don't need to always take photos straight on or from the same position. Use your legs and squat or stand on your tippy toes and shoot your photos from above. Also, subjects don't have to be looking at the camera ~ in fact, some of the best photos are cauht when your subject in unaware that you are there with a camera. Give it a try!
